Google Station Free Wi-Fi Hotspots Now Available in Mexico

Finding a free Wi-Fi hotspot in Mexico is near to get a picayune easier, thanks to Google.

The Web behemothic on Tuesday announced the launch of more than lx public Google Station Wi-Fi hotspots across Mexico Metropolis and 44 other cities in the country. These hotspots can be found in "high-traffic venues … including airports, shopping malls and public transit stations," Google Station engineering squad member Jack Fermon wrote in a blog post.

By the finish of the year, Google hopes to take more than than 100 locations hooked up in Mexico as function of its first Station push into Latin America. The program, which gives the visitor'due south partners tools to roll out public Wi-Fi hotspots, debuted in 2022 when Google announced plans to connect 400 railroad train stations across India in collaboration with railway operator Indian Railways and Internet access provider RailTel.

Mexico is now the third state to launch Google Station, after India and Republic of indonesia. In Mexico, Google is working with Net service provider Sitwifi to convert the visitor's existing hotspots to Google Station.

"In Mexico, the third highest Internet penetration country in Latin America, most people access the web through mobile," Fermon wrote. "But even every bit data plans are more affordable than ever, people are always looking for ways to relish the web without using upwardly their data. And access to information is still a challenge for many."

These new Google Station hotspots hope to offer "speedy," "reliable" Wi-Fi. To meet exactly where in Mexico they're located, head hither.
